Max's Map of Tacoma

We saw this last night, and just had to share it:

This is Max’s map of Tacoma, and we think it’s pretty fantastic.

Max is a 10-year old boy on the autistic spectrum. Max and his mother are collaboratively writing a series of books aimed at “creating dialogue and normalizing sensitive topics that young children face.” You may also have noticed re-purposed gum ball machines filled with unique art pieces for sale around town, also from Max N Me Studios. Proceeds from the gum ball machine art sales will go to various charities. The machines are only at a few locations for now, but more are coming soon. We like Max’s attention to detail, and forward-looking perspective. The crane is a nice touch. Do we have a new visionary to take up the task of Imagining Tacoma?
