Mayor Baarsma Talks About Seymour - Tomorrow

The Historic Seymour Conservatory at Wright Park was opened in 1908 through the generous gift of William W. Seymour. He was president of the Board of Park Commissioners. He served as president of the Tacoma Gas Company. He owned several utilities in Washington and sold timber and land. He was the mayor of Tacoma in 1911.

Tomorrow, Thursday, September 25th at 6:00 pm, mayor Bill Baarsma will “share his fascination with Seymour” at the Karpeles Manuscript Museum. A reception will follow at the Conservatory across the street.

I hope people realize that the Karpeles museum is incredible as a community asset. This is a good excuse to go there if you have never been to it.
