Metro Dance Festival on February 28th

The Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma is hosting its second annual mixed-company performance called the Metro Dance Festival on February 28. This event brings together ten outstanding groups from around the South Puget Sound to share the joy of dance with the Tacoma community.

This year’s participants include: The Arc School of Ballet, Ballet Northwest, Barefoot Studios, Dance Fremont!, Evergreen City Ballet, Metropolitan Ballet of Tacoma (host), MLK Ballet, Harbor Dance Ballet Company, Showstoppers Dance Group, and Washington Contemporary Ballet.

Festival tickets: $15.00 advance, $20.00 at door, $18.00 child/senior at door

This same weekend, MBT will present other work from our repertoire in a Sunday Gala Performance on March 1 at 3:00 p.m. in the Mount Tahoma High School Theatre. This event will feature choreography from Amy Young of Paul Taylor Dance Company, with a special appearance by next year’s Metro Dance Festival host; Harbor Dance Ballet Company. Tickets are $12.00 at the door.
