MLK Subarea Plan Open House - This Thursday
Reminder: This Thursday.
The purpose of this Open House is to present the key issues that have been raised from outreach efforts to date (scoping meeting, community workshop, presentations to neighborhood councils, etc.), as well as some of the strategies that have been identified to address those issues. At the Open House, a survey will be provided which will allow participants to provide feedback on the material that is presented.
Next Thursday, May 24, members of the MLK Neighborhood are invited to another round of community discussion relating to the MLK Neighborhood Sub-area Plan and EIS process.
Join your fellow community members at this upcoming Open House where you can review and comment on the key issues and community priorities that have been identified, as well as potential strategies that could be used to achieve the goals of the community.
MLK Neighborhood Sub-area Plan and EIS Community Open House
When: Thursday, May 24, 6:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m.
Where: Evergreen State College, Tacoma Campus, Room 105 (Lyceum Hall), 1210 6th Avenue
Details: www.CityofTacoma.org/MLKPlan
If you can’t make the community meeting, you can still help inform the process by taking a survey as an adult or young adult resident, business, employee, or customer.
These planning processes are important because it’s a lot of area planning up front, as discussed previously from Exit133: Point Ruston Theater Plan: The EIS Matters. If you’ve attended one of the previous workshops or open houses for this project, how did it go? What’s your perception of the process as a stakeholder?
