More Filthy 15 News - North 27th Street

The Filthy 15 Member at 3220 North 27th Street has changed a bit since the last time we talked.  The city owned the property after acquiring it due to eminent domain or neglect or something.  Last year we saw it come up for sealed bid auction as surplus property.  All offers were subject to approval of a plan and financial means.  A couple came forward with an offer (after a couple of auctions with no offers) and their plan was approved by the city per Resolution # 36667 (pdf).

My understanding is that the terms of the sale required the buyers to fix up the property.  The resolution states that the buyers ”... plan to renovate the existing building and add an addition.”  I then read the Filthy 15 website and it sounds like we’re off in the right direction:

Property cleaned up by new owners. Variance approved, plans approved and permits are in process. A new garage has been built at the rear of the property.

So what’s the condition of the house today?

This is one ugly looking renovation…  The ‘addition’ is looking bigger and bigger.  Was this the ‘approved plan’?

Here’s another photo of the house.

(thank you for the tip)
