I’m using Photostack to build the new gallery system for these photos. It works quite well and provides the clean and elegant design I want, allows me to upload photos in bulk, and the latest version is relatively stable. The downside is that it’s difficult to organize the photos once they’ve been loaded into a gallery. So once I have a few hundred photos ready to go I’ll launch the Photostack driven part of the site. Given that I’ve started this project by scanning the medium format negatives that I can only do one at a time – it’s going to be a while.
