Multicare Emergency Room Conceptual Drawing

Here’s the first drawing I’ve seen of Multicare’s new emergency room set to replace the – now gone – First United Methodist Church.

    LEDs on the new bridge would make me very happy! Anyone heard anything about this lately?

    UPTiki, you and me both re: LED’s on the bridge. Won’t happen though as we live in a community where enough people think beauty is an abomination.

    Did I read that correctly??? $100,000 plus matching funds for a truck and a fork lift???
    Were the trucks wheels made of platinum? Was the hydraulic fluid for the forklift liquid gold? Does this not seem to be just a TINY BIT overpriced??
    Maybe because it’s for the almighty MOG, it can only be the very best that the taxpayer’s money can buy.
    I get it! The truck has special safety features so that it doesn’t run over all those hoards of out-of-towner’s lining up to see what the Chief Glass-blower’s minions have created this week! That MUST be it.
    Why not have Tacoma’s own artiste in residence make some more blue garbage bags. They could be hung from the Narrows bridges and lit up by wave-powered lasers mounted on homes on Salmon Beach. How eclectically electric and oh, so much more fun than LED. We could sell laser-created advertisements on the sides of passing 18 wheelers.
    Boy, we need to get rid of term limits. These guys obviously have way too much to do in just 8 short years.

    I’ve been working w/ Acorn. I’ll be wearing 14 “I voted” stickers to Maxwells on 11/4/08. I can’t wait to enjoy my 14 manhattans.
