Murray Morgan Bridge Recabling - One Step Closer?

We know how much you all love (or hate) the Murray Morgan Bridge. It seems that we’re one step closer … to something. If you recall, the rehabilitation of the bridge is a multi-step process. It all begins with the cables and an estimated $3 million price tag.

The Washington State Department of Transportation issue a call for bids last week for the recabling project.

The bids will be opened on April 29th and the project is tentatively scheduled to be completed in October.

I love the bridge. I used to enjoy running over it and jumping over dead seagulls and potholes. Now that’s it lighter longer I may resume jogging across it. Maybe start a running club. Who’d be up for a running club 1X/week across the bridge or up and down the stairs?

Maybe have post run $3.00 martinis at “701”

This should be easier to get going now that it’s lighter at night and the martinis are so cheap.

    Who’s in?
