Name That Neighborhood

A regular reader of Exit133 wants our help.  His neighborhood has no identity.  I don’t mean this from a neighborhood council designation sort of way.  Technically, he’s in New Tacoma, but the area he identifies with may also fall into the Central Tacoma district.  It’s more of the North Slope, Fern Hill, McKinley, Proctor kind of identity.  His neighborhood is one of those recently booming neighborhoods that will be completely different five years from now.  A general boundary for this ‘neighborhood’ would be I Street to the West, Tacoma Avenue to the East, Center Street to the South, and… we’ll just say 15th street to the North.  What do the realtors call the area?  Downtown, near Downtown, the area above UWT, South Downtown, Hilltop, New Tacoma, Upper Tacoma, New Tacoma, Central Tacoma, Tacoma, or Hilltop. 

Our reader wants to have an identity.  It’s hard to be proud and rally around “the area above UWT” neighborhood.  So what should we, the collective readership of Exit133, call this neighborhood?  Maybe this is a contest.  Maybe this is collective activism and a step toward further identifying this town we live in.  Any opinions?
