Narrows Bocce Recap
After a delicious homestyle barbecue dinner from JT’s Original Louisiana Bar-B-Que Thursday, and verifying that the Narrows is, in fact, a Tacoma business district, we braved the storm and played some bocce on a borrowed piece of the fire station’s lawn across from JT’s.
The summer long tournament continued with the third installment of bocce in Tacoma business districts. Ann prevailed against expert challengers and the inclement weather to become this week’s winner. She received two Exit133 t-shirts and graciously gave her $25 gift certificate to JT’s to Mike, as the runner-up, because she isn’t a huge bar-b-que fan.

I need to throw in a great big THANK YOU for all the attendees that stuck it out last week. 44 degrees by my trusty zipper pull thermometer, the rain was coming down hard and sideways and there were two instances of certified sleet. The pictures just don’t capture the icy north sea conditions and to be able to have a full competition is a wonderful thing.
For the rest of you who haven’t made a game yet, come on out. I can’t promise the weather will cooperate but I can say you will meet some incredible people.
