Tacoma has a new addition to its expanding list of local craft breweries: ​The Narrows Brewing Company celebrates its grand opening this Friday, July 12.

Located at the Narrows Marina, the Narrows Brewing space overlooks the deck of Boathouse 19, and shares the same stunning view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, from one story up. 

You’ll have to wait until Friday to wet your whistle on Narrows Brewing beers, but you can whet your appetite with a preview from the Washington Beer Blog.

... the space is fantastic and the view cannot be beat. The beer was great and only promises to get better. The tasting room (more like a pub, really) doesn’t offer food, but you can order-in from Boathouse 19 ...

Our friends at Boe Architects had a role in laying out the space. It’s filled with references to the area’s history and the space gets rave reviews, as do the beers: an IPA, a pale ale, and a golden ale were on tap for the preview, with more to come.
