Really great news — let’s hope this is the start of a lasting trend for having better quality, higher profile music at Pantages and Rialto — they’re certainly good enough venues for it. When’s the last time they got a performer of Neko’s caliber in her (or his) prime? And that it’s a homecoming show makes it even better.

Now I’m travelling down Tacoma way
And the world turns in slow motion
It’s the twilight of our old home
And I’m still in love with you
Oh here on South Tacoma way
We’ve memories for matinees
And the tears come warm and heavy
And the cross streets bare your name

Neko Case is huge, I dunno what’s in the water, that locals seem down on her. I saw her perform in Oakland, CA with Merle Haggard. Love that voice, can’t wait to see her in this “dusty old jewel in the South Puget Pound”.

Is it a “dusty” jewel or a “dusky” jewel? I still haven’t figured that out.

Pretty sure on dusty.

Really??! I am so excited! I hate having that long drive home from seattle after a show.

@4 Bear with me here… Despite all the on-line lyric websites, that’s got to be “streets bear your name.” I hope I get tix before they sell out.
