New 253 Pilsner Benefits Local Nonprofits

We like our local nonprofits, and we like our local beers, so we were excited to see a new beer from 7 Seas Brewing that comes with the 253 Heart logo on it - and gives a percent of proceeds to local nonprofits.

7 Seas and 253Heart will choose two local nonprofits at any one time, and those organizations will benefit every time one of the new 253 Pilsners is sold, up to $5,000. Once that goal is hit, another local nonprofit will be selected, with an emphasis on smaller organizations where a $5,000 contribution can make a big difference.

What's the beer like?

This NW Pilsner pays homage to those local brewers who came long before us, a shout-out to our home, the 253. Our NW spin on a classic pilsner-style lager. Brewed with NW Pale and Pilsner malt, hopped with Sterling and Cascade, this brew is 100% WA.

ABV: 5.2%
IBU's: ~30
Availablilty: 12oz Cans: 6pk and Case, Limited Draft

What are the first nonprofits to benefit from this new partnership?

Alchemy Indoor - Tacoma, Washington - alchemyindoor.org
Alchemy Indoor Skatepark and Education Center is a non-profit organization based in Tacoma WA that is dedicated to improving the relationship between skateboarders and the greater community. The goal is simple: to provide a free, dry, and safe place for local skaters to skate and develop their athletic, social, and educational skills.

Peninsula Hands On Art - Gig Harbor, Washington - peninsulahandsonart.org
Founded in 2003 by concerned parents and local artists, Peninsula Hands On Art serves approximately 2,700 students in grades K-5 across six schools. Each year, Peninsula Hands On Art provides four art projects to these students, designed centrally and presented in the classroom by trained volunteer docents.

Find out more here, and start asking for the 253 Pilsner at your favorite local drinking establisments and grocery stores. The beer will be available in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
