New Businesses Coming to 6th Ave: Southern Exposure & Satori

We noticed the "coming soon" sign for Southern Exposure a few weeks ago, but we didn't have many details, other than the "Authentic Southern flavors with a Carribean flair" tagline.
The Southern Exposure Facebook page asks for patience while renovations are underway in the space that was most recently home to It's Amore.
Now the TNT has a preview of the new restaurant, which will feature Southern cuisine from two sisters from North Carolina, who plan to put a Puerto Rican-inspired spin on their shrimp and grits and pulled pork. It will be a first time restaurant for the sisters, but not a first time business - they've been operating a catering and events company. Needed renovations in the kitchen aren't complete, and haven't set an opening dated just yet.
Sounds a little like the menu at Soul in Proctor... If two qualifies as a trend, are we seeing a new trend towards southern fusion food in Tacoma?
Also opening on 6th Ave soon will be Satori, a new women's clothing boutique. From the Facebook page, it looks like those of you in search of a classy cocktail dress or cute pair of boots this holiday season will have another good local option that doesn't require a trip to the mall. The Satori Facebook page mentions an opening date in November, and the storefront has a fresh coat of paint, and the Satori sign is up...
