New Tacoma Awards for 2008

The New Tacoma Awards recognize outstanding individuals, businesses and organizations for their exemplary efforts in the revitalization efforts of downtown Tacoma. They are put on by the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Absher Construction.

Nominations are still being accepted, so if you know someone who exemplifies one of these categories fill out a nomination form! The categories are: New Development, Renovation or Beautification; Community Spirit; Sustained Momentum for Revitalization; Pizzaz as a Retailer. But act quick! Nominations are due on Monday.

The awards luncheon will feature keynote speaker Clare Petrich, of Petrich Marine Dock, and Co-chair of the 2008 Tall Ships Festival, and master of ceremonies Marty Campbell, owner of Buzzard’s and Stadium Video, and active supporter of downtown business and development, and Chair of the New Tacoma Neighborhood Council.
