New Tennis Dome For Seminary District?

The word on the street is that the Tacoma Lawn and Tennis Club is looking to upgrade its facilities with a brand new supersized tennis dome like the one pictured to the left (Richmond, BC).  Many of us that live near this area know that they already use white dome like covers over their tennis courts.  From what I understand this will be significantly larger.  The structure they’re looking to build is normally found in rural areas, college campuses, and county sports complexes and could very well become the dominating feature in the area.  The idea hasn’t been presented to the city, but that’s supposedly coming soon.  It seems as though this is an odd addition to the Stadium-Seminary district – an area that has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1977.  Maybe it’s just me…
