New Vicci Martinez on the Voice
Did you catch Vicci Martinez on The Voice last night?
As one of our favorite local success stories, we like to keep an eye on what Vicci’s doing, and we love to see her perform. Last night she and Cee Lo Green performed her new single “Come Along” in a duet on the NBC show. We’re still a little bitter that she didn’t come in first in 2011 (come on, she obviously was the bigger talent), but it would appear that she’s doing just fine.
The appearance coincides with the release yesterday of Martinez’s new EP by the same title, and just ahead of the scheduled June 19 release of her new LP. Two days before that release, on June 17, Martinez will be back in Tacoma, performing at Jazzbones.

She sounds (and looks) fantastic! I am selfishly going to miss seeing her in small venues with close tables and reasonable crowds. Congratulations to you Vicci, you’ve worked hard for a long time and it’s nice to see someone with actual talent making it.

I’m still mad that she didn’t win. As far as her new look – It was OK but I prefer the look of the gal w/ the shaven head better.
