Now Open: Point Defiance Tap & Grill

We've been eagerly awaiting the opening of the Point Defiance Tap & Grill in Ruston since we learned about plans for the Northwest-focused restaurant and bar earlier this year.

Well, today's the day, and we're trying to figure out how we ditch our commitments this evening so we can be among the first to sample the menu.

Along with dishes featuring local ingredients, you'll find a very respectable tap list from Northwest breweries, and some of the best wines from our region. The dining room will be family-friendly, or you can find grown-ups-only space at the bar.

The Tap & Grill will be open for lunch and dinner, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 5101 North Pearl, directly across from the Antique Sandwich Company. There's no sign just yet, but they're open for business and looking forward to seeing you.

I have always thought that location would be perfect for just this kind of establishment and Bill Bonnie is just the cat to pull it off.
