Occupy Tacoma Open House

Are you curious about what’s going on with Occupy Tacoma?  Do you want to make up your mind for yourself what you think of the camp down on Pacific?  Do you quietly support the cause?  Or maybe you have questions that you’d like to ask the Occupiers in person?

Occupy Tacoma is inviting the public to an open house this week.  Starting today through December 4th, you are invited to stop by Pugnetti Park at 21st and Pacific with questions or opinions of your own.  They want to start a dialogue, and dispel fears or concerns the public may have about the camp and the movement.

With the drama, arrests, and violence we’ve seen swirling around Occupy movements across the country, particularly in the past couple weeks, our little camp has seemed thankfully peaceful.  So far, from what we can see, Tacoma’s Occupy movement has not run into conflicts with officials, and the few concerns from neighbors have thankfully been resolved without pepper spray or batons.

Are you curious?  Do you support the movement?  Do you have some tough questions for them?
