Those fine folks at Historic Tacoma are once again bringing us their Old House Lecture Series at the Knights of Pythias Hall. Last year’s series was extremely informative and well attended. This year should be just as great. And… It begins tonight!

Learn where to find those great period details that were removed from your house. Representatives from Seattle Architectural Salvage, the RE Store, Second Use, and Olympia Salvage will be on hand to talk about the ultimate in historic recycling

Systems: Vintage & Energy Efficient?
Thursday, April 17th
Learn how to address HVAC, insulation, plumbing and windows. Experts from Phase II Construction, York Enterprises Construction, At Your Service Plumbing, Legacy Renovations, Allied Windows, BearWood Windows, and the City of Tacoma will show you how.

Style: Eco-Friendly & Period Appropriate
Thursday, April 24th
Learn how to recreate period appropriate details with eco-friendly products. Representatives from EcoHaus and Cartozian will be on hand to discuss earth friendly paints, waxes, counter top materials, all natural wool rugs, cork flooring, and the original enviro-friendly flooring, linoleum. Also, Ballard Furniture Spa will discuss eco-friendly paint removal services for restoring painted trim and vintage furniture.
