Potential Gem on North Steele

Sitting right on the line between the North Slope and UPS neighborhood we found this house in our inbox.  North End.  3 Bedrooms.  Under $300k.

Judging from the photos it looks like there was a remodel in the early 1980s.  It has potential.  Tear up the carpet.  Remove the fake ‘accent shutters.’  Remodel the kitchen.  Add a 3/4 bathroom somewhere.  Paint.  Then paint some more.  It claims to have a shop/garage that can handle two cars.  That’s a huge plus in this neighborhood.  Who has the energy?  Or, you could just buy it and live there with a dated kitchen and pink accent wall.  At least replace the stove, please.  Anybody?

Listed with Real Estate USA, but here’s John L. Scott

One ususally associates the term “flash mob” with a large group of physically fit, well rehearsed, and talented young people. How brave of Tacoma to provide a counterpoint.

The GLBT activists community in Tacoma is very exclusive and insular. If you’re not ‘in’ with them, you’re not asked to participate. In my view, some of these people are more interested in making a name for themselves rather than fostering a positive, healthy and diverse community that everyone can access. As a gay person I support equality for everyone, but am in no way represented by these people.

    Joyful activism! Thank you, Tacoma.

I feel I am fairly respresented by these people, but mostly in physique.
