Online City of Tacoma Budget Input Options Available

Tacoma’s community budget input meetings continue through this month, and into early August, but if you’re unable to make any of the scheduled meetings, or if you prefer to participate electronically, the City has made several options available.
The surveys available online are similar to those completed by Council last month, which informed their discussion of City budget priorities at the June 20 study session. The surveys give Tacomans the chance to rank priorities for City services; assign budget amounts to various categories; and designate whether they would eliminate, decrease, maintain, or increase funding for more specific categories of services. There is also a form for sharing specific suggestions for addressing the budget gap.
Online Budget Input Forms:
City Services Questionaire (prioritize services on a scale of 1 to 10)
Citizens’ Rating of City Services (pdf) (assign dollar values to categories of city services, and rate more specific service funding as to be eliminated, decreased, maintained, or increased)
Budget Input Suggestions (share specific suggestions on how to address the budget gap)
So there’s another way to share your thoughts with the City. Of course, you can still attend one of the City’s community budget input meetings. And, as always, you can share your thoughts with us here…
