Open House for Downtown Element Update

The Downtown Element of Tacoma’s Comprehensive Plan provides general goals and policies to guide growth and development in the downtown area. This plan hasn’t been changed since 2001 and it’s time for a facelift. Some potential revisions include the addition of guidance for the International Financial Services Area and enhanced policies relating to transportation, parking, land use, public realm, and urban design. So what’s new? We don’t know … but if you go to the meeting, tell us what you hear. Okay … maybe we’ll be there too. We’ll see.

To find out more about the Downtown Plan, come to an Open House hosted by the Community & Economic Development Dept.
