Open Spaces

The OSHP will guide the management, restoration and acquisition of Tacoma’s open space habitat areas. The formulation of this plan could have far reaching effects for years to come. Who loves nature?

These are great couses for people who specialize in environmental science, urban planning, and geography. I would recommend taking these courses. Having the “certificate” is a great way to jump into one of these fields with little or no experience.

I’m a current student of the program and I agree with all of the above. This is an unbelievable tool and its potential is truly limitless. I’m in the second of three quarters and am already getting the chance to apply these skills to real world scenarios. It seems that there’s no shortage of people and agencies out there desperate for people with this skill set.
GIS has the potential to strengthen any degree and is compatible with a countless number of fields. My advice (for what it’s worth)…. do it…. now.
