Opening Day of the Farmer's Market 2009

Tomorrow is the opening day for the Broadway Farmer’s Market in downtown Tacoma! Watch out for increased pedestrians and Broadway being closed between 9th and 11th.

Based on what we’ve been seeing at the Proctor Market over the last month, there should be some veggies, lots of plant starts and great food.

Tomorrow is also “Go Local Day” and there will be at least 3 sets of live music, prize give-a-ways, and a special Go Local discount at Varsity Grill. Plus, from 11:30 to 12:45 there will be a Chef Off with “celebrity” judges including our very own Derek.

It looks like the weather will be nice so get out there and enjoy!
