OTM: North End Italianate Style

Every once in a while we stumble across a real estate listing that makes us pause. This would be one of them. Now, it’s a bit bigger than any of the folks at Suite133 seem to need right now … but that’s just room to grow, right?

What is it? 7 bedroom. 4 bath. 7500 square feet of circa 1917 home designed by Ambrose Russell. For all of our walkable cities friends, this home is just a few blocks from Stadium Thriftyway, Satellite Coffee, Guadalajara, Harvester, and the Parkway. How convenient! Sure, it’s one of the most expensive listings in the city, but why bring practicality into this right now …

If the economy were just a wee bit better we’d be all over it. Maybe next year.

Listed with John L. Scott for $3.89 million

What is the link between Estately and Exit133. It seems like this estately.com is somehow connected to exit133.com.

Interesting. Oh, I don’t mean that, but (thanks to TPL NWR) 1935 Walter J. Thompson (probably the philanthropist, Tacoma and Gavelly Lake booster for whom the field at Clover Park was named) acquires house from Rev. Sidney T. James (Christ Episcopal Church, 316 No. K) in some sort of trade, then 1957 Wm. L. McCormick (V.P. of Weyerheuser, who previously coincidentally had a mansion on Gravelly Lake Drive) “Showplace residence is gift to CPS (donated to College of Puget Sound).
    Out of my league.

Beautiful, I love the Italianate style.

It has a 6-car garage & guest house. Zowie.
