Pacific Avenue Wayfinding - Still Accepting Feedback
Planning for wayfinding signage in Downtown Tacoma continues. City planners are looking for feedback sooner rather than later, and intend to complete designs by year’s end. The City held an open house on the topic on November 9th, but public comment will continue to be accepted through December 9th. The focus for now is on prioritizing destinations of interest for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic along Pacific Avenue, but comments are also being accepted towards future phases of wayfinding.
It seems that the local business community is fairly well represented, and they’re obvious stakeholders in the conversation, but we’re wondering whose voices are absent? What’s not on the list of priorities that should be? If you were a visitor to Tacoma, what kinds of things would you want help finding that might not have been mentioned yet?
