Pacific Brewing Co. Taproom Update

If you’ve been curious about the progress of Pacific Brewing & Malting Co., we caught a little update from them recently.

The PB&M blog yesterday shared the progress of their future tap room in the Old City Hall Annex building at 610 Pacific Avenue.  The pictures show an open space that is pretty bare at this point, but white tape on the floor indicates the location of the future brewing equipment, seating, and bar that will eventually go in.

As we wrote previously, the opening of the taproom and brew house will mark the return of a Pacific Brewing to Tacoma 115 years after the original Pacific Brewing closed up shop.

Construction hasn’t started yet, but the post promises that plans are in place, and they look forward to breaking ground soon and beginning to serve the public this fall.  We’re looking forward to it.  Maybe now would be a good time to place a friendly wager on which will open first: Pacific Brewing or McMenamins…

That is awesome! There just can't be too many good breweries in Tacoma (and the surrounding area) and I look forward to visiting the brewhouse and drinking their beers.

Yum. I look forward to a new place to regularly visit in this too-quiet corner of town. Great location.

Will the bar be on the top level and the brewing on the first floor? Or everything mixed in the same space like Wingman?

Thanks for write up and the support! Peter, the brewery and taproom will both be located on the ground floor. The top two floors are office space.
