Pacific Plaza Gets a Grocer
The News Tribune just reported that the developers of Pacific Plaza now have a lease in place with The Myers Group for a full service grocery. The company runs four grocery stores in Washington. This location will be similar in size to their “Kress IGA” space near Pike Place Market. The long awaited new downtown grocery store may actually happen.
Welcome to the neighborhood!

It would be tough not to love the Pac Plaza project. This is some great news for downtowners too. I remember Hargreaves talking about coming downtown but deciding instead to expand in Stadium due to the lack of market support. He never saw a need for a “downtown” store. Apparently someone disagrees… Now if only we could get THEM an SBA loan through the City…

As a downtown worker, I will definitely be supporting this business! We have been wanting this for years…I look forward to it!

Great news! Hopefully it will inspire more businesses to move into downtwon.
I’ll be sure to give them my business! I also work downtown and would love to be able to pick up things on my walk home from work.

Great news for downtown! If we all support this store it will spur new retail wanting to take advantage of increased retail traffic. The new store will also support downtown dwellers and encourage others to move there. Finally a grocer in the downtown!
