Parking Downtown: What's Your Experience?

If you use the City's parking system in downtown Tacoma, the City wants your input. As part of ongoing efforts to improve access to and awareness of City Parking System options in downtown Tacoma, the public is invited to a conversation about making the City's system work better.
Do Tacoma visitors, business customers or others have problems finding downtown parking garages?
The City’s Parking System staff wants users to share ideas at a workshop on branding and signing. On Thursday, Feb. 27, the public is invited to explore solutions that could better identify off-street parking locations, such assigns and marking, mapping or other ideas. Attendees will also discuss the garages themselves and how markings, signage and branding can improve the downtown parking experience. The stakeholder discussion takes place at 5 p.m. at the Wells Fargo Plaza (Fountain Court), 1201 Pacific Avenue, suite C-5.
The discussion will help craft further public involvement opportunities later this year as City staff plan for a 2015 effort to make its parking garages more accessible to downtown visitors.
Do you have an opinion? Here's your chance to be heard. Who has a constructive idea? At a first glance, we would probably suggest a map of facilities on the City's parking homepage...
