Pat McGregor Wins Award
Today is the day of awards! City Club of Tacoma just announced that it has selected Pat McGregor as its 2008 Dennis Seinfeld Leadership Award winner. The annual award is given to an individual who best demonstrates the qualities and values of a community leader, but is not yet well-known or established as a recognized leader.
Pat is well known on the Eastside in the Whitman neighborhood and played a big part in the AIA that passed recently in the area.
The Dennis Seinfeld Leadership Award is designed to:
Encouraging citizen involvement in civic life is important in any vibrant community, and City Club of Tacoma embraces this objective in its mission. To this end, City Club has encouraged and assisted leaders in the South Sound for many years and has recognized outstanding individuals with the Leadership Award. Since 2006, the annual award also memorializes Dennis Seinfeld, a City Club founder and past president.
As award winner, McGregor will receive a one-year membership to City Club, along with mentoring and networking opportunities with Pierce County business and community leaders.
Congrats Pat!

Minor point, and a peeve of mine, NOT Eastside, South End. East means East of Pacific, not I-5.
Pat does great work mostly in the Lincoln/Whitman areas, which are WEST of Pac Ave, so South End (not to be confused with South Tacoma). The new AIA goes to the 72nd St Freddies, all South End.

We do get included as eastside a lot, but I don’t mind so much – they were instrumental in helping to get this AIA through and it does go to Portland Ave as well down to 72nd. I look forward to more partnering with them as the the new CBS area.
I will remain a proud South Ender!!!
