Pecha Kucha Art Chat on Wednesday

Our email box is full of announcements for Pecha Kutcha. Pecha Whatcha?

Pecha Kucha! Japanese for the sound of conversation, Pecha Kucha events are dynamic conversations by artists about their work. Tacoma’s debut event makes us the 200th city to host such an evening, and you will have the chance to see it for yourself this Wednesday, June 3rd.

Here’s how it works, 10-15 artists each get 20 slides and 7 minutes to chat about their work. The hosts control the slides so there is no backs, no stops and no do-overs.

Kinda like speed dating. The Facts Ma’am. Just the Facts

Tacoma’s first PK night begins at 5:30pm at the New Frontier Lounge and celebrates our wonderful town and best of all its FREE.

Damnit! How come I always seem to find out about these things precisely three days after the fact?

How did it go? Was it awesome? Can I present at the next one? Will there be a next one? Who was there? What did they show? Was it hard to put together? Will the next one be at a bar? (I sure hope so!)

Yeah, updates anyone? I wasn’t able to go (to this or the creative class happy hour). This was quite a week for arts events in Tacoma.
