PETA Gives Award to Tacoma Fire Department

We just found out that the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals have given the Tacoma Fire Department an award for their daring dog rescue at Point Defiance last week.

The compassion and heroism shown by Elgin and the other members of the Tacoma Fire Department will serve as an inspiration to others throughout the community and beyond,” says PETA Director Daphna Nachminovitch. “Tacoma is very fortunate to have a public agency that is ready to protect and serve the city’s residents and their beloved four-legged companions.
