Pets of the Week - April 13, 2012

This week’s pets of the week from The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County are Hannah and Tommy. If you’d like to get to know one of them a little better, they’re waiting to meet you at The Humane Society on Center Street. Adoption hours until 5:30 weekdays and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:30.

Good girl, ready to learn, looking for someone to play with.

Hannah is a real sweet heart. As soon as she is out of her kennel, she is looking for someone to love. Hannah is only a year old and is a spayed female. She likes treats of all kinds and would benefit from learning new skills. She knows how to ’sit’ and tries to ’stay’, but would much rather ’stay’ in your lap. Hannah is looking for a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise. She would also love another dog to play with. Come check Hannah out today. She’s all ready to find her forever home– maybe yours!

Mature gentleman with plenty of love to share. Tommy has had quite a life already. At 7 years old, this neutered male has bounced from one home to another and, at some point, he lost the end of his tail. We think he looks quite dashing with a short tail and can’t imagine why he hasn’t found a true forever home. Tommy likes attention and all kinds of cat toys. He also enjoys taking long cat naps in a sunny windowsill or a lap. If you are looking for a mature cat with lots of love to share– Tommy is your man!
