Pets of the Week - Feb 10, 2012
This week’s pets of the week from The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County are Kaiser and Jezebel. If you’d like to get to know one of them a little better, they’re waiting to meet you at The Humane Society on Center Street. Adoption hours until 5:30 weekdays and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:30.

Kaiser: 459353
The first thing that might pop into your mind upon meeting Kaiser is “that’s one big dog”! Kaiser is a German shepherd and 7 years old. He’s a neutered male and came to the shelter when his owner was forced to move and could not take him along. Kaiser has already had a lot of training and is wonderful on a leash. Kaiser is old, though, and needs a home ready to care for a senior dog. Kaiser has arthritis and a skin condition that had been untreated up until now. He would love a home with lots of love and attention to share. Perhaps yours?

Jezebel: 459228
This fabulous feline’s name is Jezebel. She is a 5 year old spayed female. She is a domestic long haired torite/tabby mix and she’s beautiful! Jezebel is a shy cat until she gets to know you. Once you get her purring, she doesn’t want to stop. She loves chin scratches and would love a home with small safe places for her to curl up and take cat naps. Jezebel does have a small growth on her side that will need to be observed, it’s likely a fatty tumor, but a follow up with your vet can confirm that. Come meet Jezebel today!

Kaiser looks sweet. Senior animals are the best!
