Pets of the Week - March 29, 2012

This week’s pets of the week from The Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County are Elliot and Faith. If you’d like to get to know one of them a little better, they’re waiting to meet you at The Humane Society on Center Street. Adoption hours until 5:30 weekdays and Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 4:30.

Shy and quiet love bug, ready to come out of his shell

Elliot: 460603
Elliot is a regal looking tabby in search of an indoors only forever home. This 7 year old neutered male is declawed and can be a bit shy when first meeting people. Give Elliot a little time and he comes out of his shell and shows his true personality– a love bug who head butts legs for attention and desires never-ending chin scratches. Elliot would do well in most any home, but would love to find a quiet place with people who have lots of time each day to spend with him.

Old dog, ready to learn new tricks.

Faith: 343639
Fabulous Faith is seeking a forever home. This sweet 9 year old lab mix is a spayed female who came to the shelter as a stray. Faith likes treats and tennis balls. She loves to go on walks and doesn’t pull on the leash too much. Faith likes to be busy and enjoys games and learning new tricks. Faith doesn’t like cats and so needs a home where she doesn’t have to share with small animals. She also has some arthritis and could stand to lose a few pounds. A healthy diet and exercise will work wonders with this active girl.
