Point Defiance Zoo to Cut Hours

Our beloved zoo is feeling the impacts of the recent economic downturn. The News Tribune is reporting that the zoo will be cutting hours on its least visited days to save money. So, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in January and February, the zoo will be closed. They are not cutting any money from animal care budgets, and when they are open everything will be running like normal.

I guess even the polar bears need a bailout.
