Political Roundup for Feb 6th.

The political scene is on fire this morning. So much to talk about!

Let’s start with County Executive John Ladenburg officially announcing his bid for State Attorney General. This has been rumored and/or expected for some time now, but today it’s official.

Moving on to the national elections, after Obama and Clinton basically split Super Tuesday, Washington’s 97 Democratic delegates are looking tempting to them both. Bill Clinton will be campaigning in Tacoma this week, while Obama will likely stick to just Seattle (also on the Urbanist).

The big dogs are coming to us …

Update: The Political Buzz is reporting that Bill Clinton will be at UPS tomorrow to speak. The Seattle Times is saying Friday… so….

Update: A little bird just flew through our window with the news that former president Bill Clinton will be speaking at the UPS Fieldhouse on Friday, February 8th at 9:00 am.

7:16 PM Update: Yet another update! The Pierce County Dems are sending out word that there are changes to the Clinton event. We hear that the change is going to be that Senator Hillary Clinton will be here instead of her husband on Friday. Time and place to be determined, but probably Friday morning still. We’ll keep watching!

Interesting…hope Clinton and Obama don’t schedule on top of each other. Might have to take the day off…

Did anyone else notice the little ‘tear strip’ on the balot envelope, that lines up with the Republican box on the ballot? Pretty cheezy, if they intend to peek to see if it’s a Republican ballot…to determine if it merits opening.
The Democrat’s votes don’t count in the primary, so are they just being humored in being included on the ballot? ;-\

I just heard from one of the chairs for southsoundforhillary.com that Hillary will show up at The UPS Fieldhouse, doors open at 10:00 (she advises getting there earlier). There’s room for 3,000. And the subject will Hillary’s Health Care Plan. It will be a Town Hall Meeting, everyone will have a seat and questions can be asked.

I guess you’ll have to make you’re choice between her and the Obanma event. . . so it goes
