Proctor Farmers' Market - Going Strong
And then there was one. We wrote yesterday about the final Broadway Farmers’ Market for 2011, but we’re pleased to remind you that the Proctor Farmers’ Market continues well into December. They’ll be sticking it out in the cold to bring us fresh, seasonal produce, eggs, meat, cheeses and more. Not only that, they’ve got programming planned to keep the market bustling. Aside from the live music we count on to provide atmosphere, there will be a wine tasting this weekend, followed in two weekends by a farm-to-table soup fundraiser. Both sound like great ways to warm up at the market.
Saturday, October 29th: Wine Tasting
Wilridge Winery, the oldest continuously operated winery in Seattle, offering samples and sales of four Washington wines to pair with your market purchases.
Saturday, November 12th: Farm-to-Table Soups
Local chefs will prepare soups from local, seasonal ingredients from local farmers. Babblin’ Babs, Capers, and Alina Soups will offer warming soups at this fundraiser event for the Proctor Farmers’ Market, promoting collaboration between Tacoma restaurants and local farmers.
We can’t wait. Find details at the Proctor Farmers’ Market website.
