Project:U at Cork!: Fundraiser and Toy Drive

It’s that time of year, when food and toy drives abound.  The opportunities to donate are everywhere, and it can be tough to decide where to donate.  It’s also a time of year, with short days and long to-do lists, when it can seem like you don’t have enough time for yourself.  Well, why not kill two birds with one stone, and donate by relaxing?

Project:U, a United Way of Pierce County program is hosting a Fundraiser and Toy Drive Event at CORK! A Wine Bar.  CORK! has generously agreed to donate 20% of all sales proceeds from this evening to the United Way of Pierce County in the fight to improve the lives of all in Pierce County. If you think strengthening our community is important, and want to get together with others who feel the same, join us at Cork! for great wine, great food, and conversation!  In addition, that evening CORK! will be a toy drive drop off spot for the United Way’s Season of Caring.  Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to kids in Pierce County.

Sounds like a great excuse to indulge in two of our favorite holiday activities:  toy shopping and enjoying a glass of Nero d’Avola at Cork!
