Public Hearing on Downtown Plan Update
The Tacoma Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the “Downtown Plan Update” on October 1st, and an informational session will be held next week for those who are interested in learning more about the project and would like to ask questions.
The Downtown Plan Update would modify Destination Downtown, an element of the Comprehensive Plan. Copies of the draft Downtown Plan are available for review at all branches of the Tacoma Public Library, or you can read it online at www.cityoftacoma.org/planning.

Woah, the draft downtown plan is really inspiring. If even half those recommendations become realities, Tacoma could become a more attractive place to live than any other city in the state. Yes, ahem, even the 800 pound gorilla in the north end of the room would have a run for its money.
