Puppets Coming to Tacoma

The Pacific Northwest and Pacific Southwest Regions of the Puppeteers of America are bringing their regional puppetry festival, Much Ado About Puppets, to the University of Puget Sound from August 4th through August 7th.    This could be an interesting way to see what puppetry is all about.  I’ve only seen a few live puppet performances in my life.  Are most puppeteers in the Northwest doing things like Lamb Chop, or do they aspire to have the hair, posture, and creepiness of John Cusack in Being John Malkovich?  My guess is that we don’t see enough puppetry in our day to day lives and we should get outside more…  (Thanks Heather for the tip)
