Puyallup Fair to Change Name

We read in the TNT this morning that the Puyallup Fair will be changing its name. By this time next year, if all goes according to plan, it will be known as the Washington State Fair. The change is meant to reflect the fair’s status as the biggest in the state. You will still be invited to “do the Puyallup,” but will you miss the more local sounding name (and trying to explain to out-of-towners how to pronounce the name)?
