Red Cross Seeks Local Hero Nominations

There are lots of good deeds that go unnoticed. Good work done by good people that never get the recognition they deserve. You can help change that by nominating a local hero to the American Red Cross. The nominee may be professionally trained or simply a Good Samaritan. Nominations are being accepted for but not limited to the following categories: 911 Dispatch, Animal Rescue, Fire Safety, Youth Humanitarian, Adult Humanitarian, Law Enforcement, Medical Rescue, Military, Spirit of the Red Cross, Wilderness Rescue, and Workplace Safety. The deadline for nominations is October 23, 2009.

The American Red Cross Mount Rainier Chapter recognizes local heroes from the community during the annual Red Cross Real Heroes Awards Breakfast. This year’s event is scheduled for Friday, December 4, 2009 at the Hotel Murano, Bicentennial Pavilion.
