Represent Education on the Citizens Recognition Committee

The Citizens Recognition Committee needs a new member and it could be you. The 11-member Citizens Recognition Committee develops the nomination tools and selection criteria, selects the winners and plans the annual recognition event for the City of Destiny Awards, which spotlights exceptional Tacoma citizens for their volunteer service.

Members are appointed by City Council and currently they are seeking a Tacoma citizen representing the education sector to help plan and coordinate the City of Destiny Awards program.

The Citizens Recognition Committee meets from 4 – 5 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. If this sounds like you, contact the Community Relations Office at (253) 591-2054 for more information.
