Restaurant Coming to 26th & Alder

We've heard a lot of speculation about what the plans are for the recently vacated commercial space at the corner of North 26th and Alder (once home to the Clip & Clean pet groomer and a nail salon). Now there's an answer, and it's an interesting one.
According to The News Tribune, the story is that a Seattle-based restaurant owner who operates several places, including the Hi-Life in Ballard, the Five Spot in Queen Anne, and Endolyne Joe's in West Seattle bought the building last month, and has begun the major remodel necessary to turn it into a neighborhood restaurant.
The TNT story says he has been looking for an appropriate Tacoma location for 15 years now (really? he couldn't find a piece of commercial property in Tacoma over the last decade and a half?). The word is that we shouldn't expcet an opening any sooner than 2016, but work is underway - there was someone working on the building this morning.
Not much in the way of details on what to expect from the menu or vibe of the new place - the TNT reports that it will probably be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. There's no concept chosen for the Tacoma location yet, but its sister restaurants are some of our favorite places to eat in Seattle.
The Rosewood Cafe just up the street is always hopping on a nice day, so we're hoping for another place with some outdoor tables... Would that make up for the relocation of the Clip & Clean?
