Robert Hill Ruled Competent for Trial
Just in case you hadn’t heard, current city council candidate, former candidate for sheriff, and a regular at public meetings throughout our town, Robert “The Traveller” Hill found himself in jail last month on felony charges of intimidating a judge. The results of the mental health evaluation are now in. The report released this week has determined that Hill is competent to stand trial and should be evaluated further before being released on bail.

Correct. If he were insane he would not be competent to stand trial, he would, however, be competent enough to serve on the city council.

Hill has a documented history of planning political campaigns. According to the News Tribune link posted above, Hill, a self-proclaimed libertarian (see You Tube 2008 Melon interview prior to Pierce County Sheriff race) is currently challenging City Council District 3 incumbent Lauren Walker.
If Hill were elected, it is speculated that City Council requests for study committees would sharply decline.

I don’t see him now on the jail roster and on closer inspection I believe that he has made bail.
