RTSS Looking for Applicants

Rebuilding Together South Sound (RTSS) is looking forward to Rebuilding Day, Saturday, April 25, 2009. On that day, free home repairs will be provided to low-income homeowners in need.

The program is part of a national affiliate network of more than 200. The services provided are free to the homeowner.

Qualified applicants must:

• Own their home
• Be at or below 50% median income
• Be elderly, disabled and/or families with children
• Be unable to do the work themselves
• Be willing to cooperate with RTSS, with able-bodied homeowners and family members required to work

The deadline for applications is December 1, 2008. Applications can be found online or can be mailed to a homeowner at no cost to them. In preparation for Rebuilding Day, RTSS will preview each house in the order they are referred and select those most appropriate for the program. Every house selected will get a work plan and volunteers will complete that work on Rebuilding Day between 8am and 5pm under the supervision of a House Captain.
