Satire & Spoof on Exit133

Last week we launched a new article category called Satire & Spoof.  Why?  Because there’s no reason we have to be serious all of the time.  The goal is to be relevant, but slightly irreverent.  Nobody should be completely off limits in the community…  My informal market research indicated that folks really liked the article last week and that we should continue it.  I also heard that a lot of folks didn’t understand the satire part of last week’s story and thought it was all true.  I apologize for the confusion and I hope future disclaimers can be shorter than this one.

At some point soon, but not today, I will tweak the design of Exit133 so the Satire & Spoof articles appear in a slightly different format or location so that they are obviously different from the day to day news and events.  Our day to day postings are still fact checked and/or confirmed in some way and this new section should not reflect on the quality of our other postings.  If it doesn’t say Satire & Spoof above the title, it’s real – or at least we believe it’s real – like the Easter Bunny.

Disclaimer:  All quotes in the Satire & Spoof articles should be considered absolutely fantasy and completely fictitious.

With that said, let’s talk about Carl’s Jr…

Update: The Satire pieces will appear by title on the left sidebar and in RSS feeds.

When this comes up for review again, I’d like to see both the time limit and $/hr doubled. 75 cents/hr is silly. It’s likely not enough to pay for the meters or to change behavior.
