I can’t believe it’s Saturday and I haven’t mentioned a few things happening around town yet. Here are a few ideas for your weekend planner:
We have the Glass Roots Arts Festival on Court D between 11th and 13th Streets. Check out the new Embellish Salon, listen to live bands, and see local artists. The event runs from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
At the exact same time, we’ll have the Asian American Water Festival on the Thea Foss. “Cultural costumes, dances, music, and foods will highlight this wonderful multi-cultural Asian festival throughout the day and into the evening.” The event starts at 11:00 am down at Thea’s Park. This is all such distracting fluff… didn’t anybody watch last Tuesday’s council meeting? There were some significant issues covered especially in Citizen Forum comments. Why wasn’t that meeting covered on this site, as usual? I seriously want to know why it was skipped when other, silly, things WERE posted that night instead.
